Charlotte’s Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Arts School meets the second Tuesday of each month at The Mill in Charlotte’s NODA arts district.  The Mill (3066 N. Davidson Street)  is quickly becoming an arts mecca in this historic neighborhood:  jazz, comedy, readings, theatre and, of course, the fabulous Dr. Sketchy.

We are grateful for the very generous assistance and regular appearances of Big Mamma D from the region’s top Burlesque, Big Mamma D’s Burlesque Theatre; Mamma D brings a remarkable evening of bawdiness to our Dr. Sketchy gatherings.  We have also hosted professional dance and theatre companies as our models at past sessions.

During the coming months, the Dr. Sketchy sessions will be extended to corporate audiences and area festivals.  We are also hosting a special event at the Flying Biscuit Cafe on August 25th benefiting Pride Charlotte 2011.

We hope you’ll plan to join the Charlotte art monkeys at the next gathering of Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Arts School—we meet at The Mill, 3066 N. Davidson Street in the historic NODA neighborhood.  Our regular meeting time is the second Tuesday of each month.  The doors open at 6:30 and we start drawing at 7 PM.

Admission: $12; students and teachers, $10.  Age 18 and older please.
