We will have our first resident artist to come and talk and perform a short 'How-to' on doing anime/manga style illustration for those who would be interested! Also digging into the past with Kana Nagashima who will perform a traditional Japanese dance and pose for us in traditional costume. Time to get those inks out! This is going to be beautiful! Now you don’t have to be a superstar artist to enroll in a class ~ its truly open to all and the perfect night out for folks who are ‘I can’t draw-ers’, the ‘not surers’ and ‘cult explorers’….

You don’t need to bring a thing! Paper and pencils are provided. But if you prefer to bring your own materials, please make sure wet media aren’t any more messy than a neat watercolour set.

Its art that doesn’t take itself too seriously…. to make seriously good art. The kind of class that embraces the “you are where you are” philosophy and just enjoy the ride… the scenery is swell ;P

The Pagan ritual themed night saw the welcome return of 2 models and performers we've had the pleasure of drawing before. The slinky hip skills of Serpentina ~ The Snake Girl and our original model who has been with us every 'Anna'-versary ~ Anna Fur Laxis! Kicking off the night with a mesmerizing performance - Serpentina danced to Venus In Furs by Devotchka. Followed by some automatic drawing and then on with a round of quickies!! I really wanted to get the class relaxed and to try to draw from a place of fearless abandon... I will be working on this more and more as we enter our new year. A packed house full of wonderbeings, pagan sorceresses, goats, friends, new sketchy virgins, Derby folk, illustrators, non-artists, total newbies and a film crew! What fun was had! During the break most of us treated ourselves to a second round of deliciously devilish cupcakes from Mad Hatters... And then... this happened. Yes were were at it again this week! More antics and high jinks at our Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School A Little Bit Grimm event in Chester. Lola Lashes starred as our Little Red Riding Hood - lost in the deep dark forest of womanhood. After some quick sketches... Red soon realised she was getting some tingly feelings... sketchers sketched on as we listened to "Like a Virgin" and talked about Adventures in Menstruating

After the break we were treated to a performance by Lola and Lolly Liqueur our Wolf Girl, who chased Red around the stage and gnashed her teeth before devouring her... or is that deflowering her? We got to draw Lolly howl at the moon in this beautiful pose

Some final poses included both models - with Red overcoming and overpowering her hairy beast!
