Sydney's notorious partners-in-crime Lauren LaRouge and Holly J'aDoll return to Dr Sketchy's guns a'blazing and tempers flaring! The duo voted most likely to create Australia's 'most beautiful burlesque babies' (2012 Bustie Awards) are co-creators of the award-winning smash-hit open stage burlesque night 'The Peel', which will be celebrating it's fourth birthday this month.. You can expect lots of laughs and an impeccable fun-filled set from these two sketchy's veterans as they celebrate four years of utterly chaotic collaboration!

New Headmistress - Dr Sketchy’s Sydney

It is with absolute pleasure I make the following announcement. Since Dr Sketchy’s launched in April 2007, Alisa Angell has been steering the reigns with me at Dr Sketchy’s Sydney. She has never missed a session, and is genuinely in love with the event, the crew, the performers, the models, the mc’s and the guests – and the feeling is mutual. After my move to Melbourne in 2009, I felt strongly about Dr Sketchy’s continuing as it always had. It’s always been a very special event to me, and everyone else involved. And no-one understood the importance of keeping the quality the same, as Alisa. Due to personal reasons, it’s been hard for me to come up and spend time on this fabulous event as much as I would like, and as a result, I’ve witnessed Alisa take hold of Dr Sketchy’s and run it as her baby. And you know what, I figure it’s about time I gave it to her as her baby. She deserves it. So after some lovely chats, ideas and passionate moments – the exchange of ownership has happened. And we couldn’t be more thrilled. So please congratulate your new Headmistress. Give her hell (or a hug) and welcome her wildly. I’m sure if you don’t already know her, you’ll love her as much as the rest of us do. xx JB

Sydney Weekender Weekend Winter Sessions

Recently, Dr Sketchys Sydney featured on Sydney Weekender, with Jac Bowie, Julie Atlas Muz (NY), Ophelia Bitz (UK) and Peekaboo Pointe (NY). In honour of the show, we have created a few one off Saturday sessions for winter!! Head to the ticket page to book. All classes go for 2 hours and include 1 model / performer. And they only cost $10 to attend. Great way to try out Dr Sketchys!!

Artpacks and Dr Sketchy Books Now Available!!

Good news!! As of next week, our Artpacks are back, and they are available to purchase with your ticket online or you can buy them on the night. Also, we are soon doing an order for Molly Crabapple’s books “Scarlett Takes Manhattan” and “The Dr Sketchy’s Rainy Day Coloring Book” which you can also buy online with your ticket or at the event. A limited amount will be ordered, so feel free to talk to Alisa on the night to keep aside a copy for you before they walk out the door again!!

We’ve previously had Facebook groups for the events, but have decided to move to Pages so we can interact with you guys more, share your artwork (for Dr Sketchys), fan photos, offer specials, competitions, ticket offers, and generally be able to talk and interact with you more!!
