Greetings, art monkeys!

Last week, the King Con was held at the Brooklyn Lyceum and Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School was there! Posing for us, we had our good friend Paige Pumphrey (Paigey, as her friends call her), and our mutual friend Christy Sawyer took pictures.

Here we see the STARS of the session! Because "star" means "featured performer," but it's also the shape that's over her -- oh, you got it? Good.

The good folks at King Con provided us with our own nametags. The amazing part? Mine was spelled right! That never happens!

Our backstage at this session was a bench a few feet behind the model, so this seldom-seen view was what Yao and I were drawing.

Paigey's award-winning smile is capable of killing a man at a distance of 50 meters. It is that powerful.

For a contest, we challenged our artists to come up with the best plot twist. Since our session was right after an interview with Chris Claremont, I advised our artists that any entry involving Phoenix returning would be disqualified (since she never died in the first place) and any entry involving Magneto coming back from the dead would be grounds for justifiable homicide.

I did not see this coming.

What did I just say? WHAT DID I JUST SAY??!!

And as our winner (who did NOT draw Phoenix returning) claims his round bird from Squishable, I realize that I am out of photographs. Thank you to Yao, Christy, and everyone at the Brooklyn Lyceum and King Con.
