In town for Baltimore Comic-con on Saturday, September 7th? Looking for somewhere to get some drawing in and maybe bend an elbow at the bar with like-minded folks? Or maybe you just want do something different and get a drink with interesting folk away from the touristy Inner Harbor?
Screw the hotel bar and its forever line to get a drink. We're more fun.
Maybe you're not from out of town, maybe you've not been able to make it to Dr. Sketchy's Baltimore yet because it's on a Monday night, or maybe you're one of our loyal regulars who've always wished Dr. Sketchy's wasn't during the week so you could stay out just a "little longer" without your boss firing your ass.
Join us Saturday night, September 7th at 9 pm for burlesque life drawing at the Windup Space--with Maria Bella, GiGi Holliday, and Sophia Sunday of Gilded Lily Burlesque!
Want a hint of what it'll be like? Watch this 3 minute video of Sophia Sunday's most recent session.
Did you watch it? Oh for Christ's sake, just watch it.
Now, imagine that, but TIMES THREE.
If you have the time, here's recent videos for GiGi Holliday and Maria Bella too...
(If you're binging on videos for some reason, this is my favorite one )
This won't be like a normal session either--we're not going to have any contests or performances, just drawing and folks hanging out at the bar. Oh, did I mention there will be two stages? Possibly three, if we think we need a third one that night?
Doors will be at 8, and the drawing will start at 9--and if you're in town for the convention, we ain't an over-priced hotel bar, we'll be open till everyone goes home or 2 am, whichever comes first.
"But, but, but," you say, "how do I get there from the Inner Harbor?" You can take a cab for about ten bucks or take the free Purple bus to Penn Station and just walk north three blocks to North Avenue--or if you have a car, just drive on up and park somewhere on North Avenue, the Windup is right there on the corner.
If you buy your tickets 24 hours or more beforehand, they're $12, and it'll be $15 at the door. Why? Modeling is painful, painful work, not only that, but there's three of 'em.
So, doors at 8, start at 9. It's a bar, so you have to be 21+. http://bit.ly/1azHbuO
$15 at the door, $12 if you buy before the day of.
No photography or messy paints, please (watercolors are fine).
