Nous avons eu l'énorme plaisir de faire équipe à nouveau avec Studio Technique pour le Comiccon de Montréal! Notre atelier a eu lieu le 6 juillet avec la superbe Meg comme modèle.

On June 16, we had the pleasure of another great session at the Montreal Fringe Festival! The divine Célesta O'Lee posed for us.

Best May the 4th ever! On top of all the "May the 4th be with you", we had the tremendous pleasure of drawing Lulu les Belles Mirettes during our Star Wars session!

Lex Lunacy is an up and coming, afro-latina plus model, visual artist, and performer based out of Fabulous Las Vegas. Having a small background in musical theatre, Lex has been performing since elementary school and modeling for over 6 years. She aims to accentuate the beauty and range of creativity for women of color through characterized photoshoots she organizes.

An avid advocate of Radical Self-Love and Body Positivity, she adores proudly displaying her body as art and poetry in motion.  A child of fire and the moon, her creative styling and ideas are constantly shifting with chameleon-like ease. Her unique look, exuberant personality, and unrelenting charm will make her a subject most worthy of any medium.

Draw the amazing singer/songwriter Sabrina Chap at our eleventh anniversary celebration, which will be our last session at The Windup Space, which is closing its doors after eleven years of hosting a wide range of eclectic and amazing events. The Windup Space has been our beloved home for a decade, and we couldn't have reached this double-digit milestone without it, so on what will be the Windup's last day (which is why this session’s early on a Saturday evening), let's have a few drinks together to celebrate its eleven wonderful years, and ours, all while creating some tipsy sketches of Sabrina, who'll be striking sassy poses and singing a couple songs for your inspiration. There'll be crazy drawing contests with neat prizes from Blick Art Materials, too.

We should mention that Sabrina's coming down from NYC just for this—it's been years since she's performed in Baltimore. It might have made more sense for us to book a beloved Baltimore performer for the last event at this beloved Baltimore venue, but when we learned that the Windup Space was closing and that this might be our last session (which it may very well be, if we can't find a venue that will be a good fit for us in the next month or so), we approached Sabrina, who's been a major part of many of our favorite moments at the Windup Space, including the time she serenaded us at our wedding reception afterparty with a cover of "I'll Make Love to You" by Boyz II Men. She's only modeled for us twice in our long history, and it's been seven years since her last session with us, but in those two sessions, she's made many fans among past and present Sketchy's regulars, and we've gotten quite a few requests to have her back, so to those folks: Here's your chance—don't blow it! And to those of you who've never heard of her, join us on June 1st to see why we love her so much!
