Headmistress Kahlia Litzow presents a life drawing session with a difference. Dr Sketchy’s Anti-Art School holds art events to make you fall in love with art, dance, cabaret and drawing all over again.

Putting the decadence back into life drawing, this unique school brings models from the worlds of cabaret, music, burlesque, vaudeville and circus to artists to The Press Club.

No need to book! Just bring your favourite drawing materials. This session is for all levels of drawing ability. There will be no judging and no one slapping your wrist because of your technique. It’s all about self expression and creating art your way. If you don’t want to share your images, that’s okay!

Models pose in timed positions ranging from 1min - 20mins with a change of costume during a short interval of 15mins. This session is not nude life drawing, but involve decadent costumes that deconstruct into something very minimal by the end. Usually we have 3 models so that everyone has a good sight line and variation of muse.

Cost is $15. Events are held once a month and coincide with a FREE burlesque show afterwards commencing at 8:30pm.
