➧ What is Dr. Sketchy's?
Since 2005, Dr. Sketchy's has been the name in alternative drawing. From illegal flashmobs to the Museum of Modern Art, Dr. Sketchy's has brought artists a rule-breaking cocktail of dames, drinking and drawing. Dr. Sketchy's branches draw in over a hundred cities around the globe, from Akron to Zagreb. Whether you're an artstar or a scribbling newbie, Dr. Sketchy's is the perfect place to get your fill of life-drawing
Dr. Sketchy's is the brainchild of artist Molly Crabapple
This website is the official site for all licensed Dr. Sketchy's branches. If you hear of a branch, but they do not have a profile on this site, be warned that they will not provide our authentic Sketchy's experience. Check our Branches page for your local branch!
Next Dr. Sketchy's is Monday, February 8th with an Italian-themed life drawing session featuring "Baltimore's Sicilian Queen", Maria Bella of Gilded Lily Burlesque!
The last time Maria posed for us, way back in the ride-a-dinosaur-to-work days of 2014, was one of our all-time favorite sessions. Take a look—BTW, keep an eye out for one of the best drawings of feet I've ever seen someone do at a session.
Maria has a whole stocking full of new stuff for y'all this time around—this is going to be a good'un. Maria's sessions are always some of the best we have.
Here's a bit of Maria's bio.

"Baltimore's Sicilian Queen",
Pin up model Lilla Koi brought us 60’s, cocktail lounge glamour last November at Dr. Sketchy’s Toronto. All photos courtesy of Jeffrey Adam Danyleyko.
Inspired by the horror that was my first Brazilian wax, our first art contest theme was Best Addition of Body Hair. Lilla struck a strong pose, and the artists got to adding short and curlies.
Every 4th Tuesday of each month, at 7pm until 10pm. avantgardenhouston.com
