Dr. Sketchy’s Tulsa was started in May 2009, but the girls of Tulsa’s premiere burlesque troop, Eye Candy Burlesque: Lu Foxxx, Ilsa the Wolf, and Savonne the Minx.
All three were instrumental in re-establishing burlesque in Tulsa, as well as models for Dr. Sketchy’s sessions throughout the country.
Tulsa comedian and MC Hilton Price was quickly brought into the fold as host and co-coordinator.
Dr. Sketchy’s Tulsa has hosted a session almost every month since its inception, and featured everything from burlesque to rollergirls to stand-up comedy to ballet dancers and back again, offering a wide variety of the vast performing talent home to the region.
The Eclipse Cultural House is the Tulsa chapters current base of operations, and sessions are often the third Sunday of the month.
The Tulsa chapter is currently run by Lu Foxxx and Hilton Price.
