Despite the sudden heavy downpour and persistent mall security, nothing kept us and our fabulous Candy Stripers from introducing Dr. Sketchy to all the Art Monkeys. It was quite the awesome turnout and even drew a crowd of curious bystanders (all of whom, I bet, wanna take up drawing now). So, thanks to everyone who came! SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- Pick your the best sketch from the sketch mob. - Scan the original sketch or take a photo of it. - Upload this to the Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School Manila Facebook Page wall and tag yourself, or email your sketch to Mike Acosta [[email protected]]. Make sure you provide your name and contact details.

With the recent acquisition of the rights and license to open up a Dr. Sketchy branch in Manila, we hope you can help us spread the word and give Dr. Sketchy’s its very own Filipino flavor.
How does it fit in to our local art scenario? For years and years, little or no attention has been put to the plethora of creative indie talent found amidst the Philippine art underbelly. If you DO mention “the art scene”, one would automatically assume “bourgeois, snooty, impenetrable”. When people see bare-bodied drawings, they immediately label them as “vulgar and immoral”.
We WANT this to change.
