We're having our EIGHTH birthday on June 13th with the incomparable Cherie Sweetbottom!
Eight years ago, on what was one of the hottest days that summer, we had the first session of Dr. Sketchy's Baltimore in the small dining room of one of our favorite bars. Nine people showed up to draw, four of which were friends, and another friend modeled, despite injuring her ankle the day before. A year later, we outgrew our original venue and moved to the Windup Space, where we've been attracting dozens of artists each month. And we've had a slew of amazing performers to thrill and inspire all those artists—contortionists, belly dancers, burlesquers, glass-walkers, sword-swallowers, musicians, magicians, roller girls, and, if the stars were in alignment and someone got caught in traffic, our hostess, Alexis.
Come celebrate with us!

That was definitely one of my favorite sessions—all sorts of goodies in that one, from Cherie's bubbly charm to a pregnant Alexis getting ready to pop, and a birthday song to one of our favorite regulars!
