This month Dr. Sketchy's RVA throws it back to the golden age, with "The Lady Courtesan" featuring Deepa de Jour!

Known as the 'Delectable Dish,' Deepa de Jour is the producer of the Richmond Burlesque Revue, and was one of our very first branch models!

Ms. de Jour will be portraying one of vintage erotica's most notorious characters, The Mata Hari! A one-time horseback riding performer who flirted and flaunted her way up to be one of the worlds first and foremost Ecdysiasts (...and often times, regal courtesan). Was she a spy too?...The world may never truly know, but one thing is for sure, our Mata Hari will infect your creativity with curves, killer looks, and an itch to sketch in sepia!

Join us for 3 hours of cabaret figure drawing with Richmond's Premier figure drawing club, Dr. Sketchy's! THURSDAY September 27th at Strange Matter (929 W. Grace St., RVA), from 6-9pm. Admission is only $7 (or $5 w/ student ID)! Hosted by headmistress, Deanna Danger!
