From illegal flashmobs to the Museum of Modern Art, Dr. Sketchy's has brought artists a rule-breaking cocktail of dames, drinking and drawing. Dr. Sketchy's branches draw in over a hundred cities around the globe, from Akron to Zagreb. Whether you're an artstar or a scribbling newbie, Dr. Sketchy's is the perfect place to get your fill of life-drawing

Dr. Sketchy's Victoria is gearing up for a great summer of dabbling, drinking and drawing! Summer dates are: June 20th, July 18th, August 15th and September 19th. We offer two seatings: 5:30PM - 8:00PM and 8:30PM - 11:00PM, tickets are $10 and can be reserved in advance or purchased at the door. Session #59 - Circus

Dr. Sketchy Montréal vous invite à sa séance 2012 du Festival Fringe de Montréal : Circus! Venez dessiner la fabuleuse artiste burlesque BonBon Bombay qui posera en costumes inspirés du cirque!

La séance aura lieu lundi, le 18 juin, de 18:00h à 21:00h au Parc des Amériques, au coin du boul. St-Laurent et Rachel. L'événement est GRATUIT, mais des pourboires pour notre modèle seront les bienvenus. Bière et musique en direct vous y attendront, donc n’oubliez pas

If you're a Mad Men fan and missed last session with Lauren Marleaux of Gilded Lily Burlesque, your life pretty much sucks at this point.  Take a gander.

I wanted so badly to either use the Mad Men theme song or "Zou Bisou Bisou" for that video, but we probably would've been sued out of existence if I had.  [sigh]

In any case---wow. Eat your heart out, Joan Holloway.

We had a bunch of contests: the ye' old opposite hand contest, a "Put a bird on it!" challenge, and best incorporations of John Waters  and Betty Page (who both had birthdays on or around that date), and gave away a giant bottle of Disobedience Abbey Dubbel from Flying Dog Brewery, Sparrow Vol. 0: Ashley Wood Sketches and Ideas from Atomic Books, and Symptomatica from Baby

Eyrie Twilight of Black Tassel Boolesque brought her A game, not to mention a pretty snazzy car trunk full of props.  If you get the chance, check out her and the rest of Black Tassel Boolesque at the Red Palace for Fairy Tail: An evening of Storybook Burlesque.  Anyways, here's the video from this session; take a gander.

There was tasty Flying Dog beer and some lucky folks won a pair of vintage-style seamed stockings from What Katie Did and a copy of Bunny in the Moon: The Art of Tara McPherson, vol. 3 courtesy of Atomic Books, not to mention some shots from Liz behind the bar.
