Laissez les bon temps roulez!!

The beautiful buxom burlesque babes of Black Hole Burlesque shook what their mamma's gave them for our Mardi Gras Dr. Sketchy event! Our models for the night were the fabulous Angelina Sofia, Lily Stitches, and appearing for her first time on our stage, Evie Apple. Each lovely lady not only brought sizzling looks (and SHADE!) to the stage for our artists to draw, but also danced their hearts out with saucy burlesque routines to make you sweat! It was hotter than New Orleans in the Capitoline basement! We had three rounds of sketching, three burlesque acts, and three prize winners!

Lily Stitches starts us off right with quick poses for warm up sketching (check out that fabulous dress!).

Then Angelina Sofia joins her, wearing the most adorable 1920's flapper inspired ensemble!

And um, peep that sign in the background... we're so official!

After each round, we ask our artists to bring up their favorite sketch for a chance at a prize. And the winner is...

First timer, Natalie! During the break, Angelina Sofia performed a little New Orleans Shuffle burlesque routine.

To start off round two, Evie Apple served us some peacock showgirl realness.

Lily Stitches joined, this time looking ravishing in red.

Sketching is very serious business!

It's fascinating to see the different mediums artists use!

During our second break, Evie Apple had us "Feelin' Good" during her burlesque routine.

And Lily Stitches was giving legit Jessica Rabbit vibes, No Diggity.

 

Round 3 brought all our girls back to the stage, with all the sequins and glam of New Orleans!

Ask and you shall receive! While we usually go into longer poses, our artists wanted more showgirl! So that's what we gave 'em- a rapidfire round of 2 minute showgirl poses!
