As part of Culture Night 2010, The Bad Art Gallery on Francis Street invited Dr. Sketchy’s Dublin along to host a series of mini sessions through-out the night! Culture Night is an annual event run by The Temple Bar Cultural Trust which sees galleries and museums all across the city opening their doors and running free events from 5pm until midnight for one night only.
We were really excited to re-package the Dr. Sketchy’s experience for a drop-in event of this kind. As the footfall would be quite high, we needed to make the sessions short and snappy! We turned our usual 3 hour sessions into snack-size 30 minute sessions, but keeping our usual mix of gorgeous models, prizes and music.
Models Michelle Sedition and PostModern Sleeze went for retro and leopard-print in a tribute to the original Pin-Up herself, Bettie Page. There were riding crops and leather paddles for props. Vintage inspired hair by Deelicious Hair Art finished the look and the girls were absolutely STUNNING!! Sadistic Sedition was, as usual, our rock, helping out and awarding prizes, pouring tequila and distributing it judiciously!!
Hosting our sessions on the hour at 7pm, 8pm, 9pm and 10pm, we were joined by professional artists, students, curious bystanders, enthusiastic amateurs and everyone in between. In between our sessions, we were treated to the sounds of T-Bone Kelly and his band. The art was fantastic, the atmosphere was electric and huge thanks to The Bad Art Gallery for including us in their Culture Night 2010 Programme!
