Way back in February, we were excited and nervous to launch a second session each month. The second session would take place towards the beginning of each month, on a Wednesday evening from 7pm - 9pm. We introduced a new "in the round" layout for the session, with the stage to the centre, ensuring our model, Sarah Vixyn turned to face each side during posing. We also included a longer pose than usual, which was 40 minutes. We have had really positive feedback about the session and are looking forward to building up the midweek sessions.
Thanks as always to our wonderful crew and our cupcake sponsor Pow! Cake That for custom cupcake prizes!

We kicked off our art classes of 2014 in comic book style with Gotham City as our backdrop and three feisty femme fatales; Azaria Starfire as Poison Ivy, Deirdre J as Harley Quinn and introducing a new model to the Dr. Sketchy family – Hazel Farrell as Catwoman!
Later in the session, The Joker even made an appearance as Azaria transformed for her manic and quirky performance.

We were also joined by film-maker Aoife McGarry who put together an incredible video from the session.

This was a dream session for me, the fabulous Azaria Starfire had proposed the theme months before and we had roped in Dark Knight Fontaine to model along side her. Red Boy created the visuals for the backdrop and on the day everything came together perfectly! I was even more delighted when I saw these photos by Kerri Cherry, because I never thought she’d be able to capture the atmosphere so well – but she did!
