Mon, September 19, 2011 • Dr. Sketchy’s Knoxville - Opens with “Teacher’s Pet”
To say that Dr. Sketchy's Knoxville (DSK), had an opening session on Sunday, September 18th, 2011 that was a rousing success would be understated. It was INCREDIBLE. Purposely held as a "soft open" session with social network marketing only; we aimed to produce an event that met with the expectations of our attendees, performers and venue, and use it as an opportunity to get our flow "just right" before we unleash our fancy fury all over Knoxville.
Our Emcee delight, Kisa von Teasa, kept the flow going as we enjoyed college-inspired performance numbers from Delinda d' Rabbit and Rosey Lady of Salome' Cabaret, and a librarian inspired tribal bellydance by the lovely, Jaia as a teaser of things to come (she's a headliner at our December session). The models held poses as our anxious and eager art monkeys let the muses work their magic.

Thank you beyond words to all those lovely art monkeys who attended the session and produced some wildly creative, skilled and often funny artistic representations of our performer models. Thank you to every one who said "I can't sketch," but gave it the old "COLLEGE TRY" and found out that they had a blast in our uber fun and supportive environment. Without our audience and supporters this could not be a true, dream come true.
Thank you to our DSK Knoxville Staff, our amazing Helper Monkey volunteers, our guest photographer (Jason R. Scott), our models/performers and our soon-to-be-permanent venue at Old City Entertainment Venue.
