Wed, October 06, 2010 • IV: Bacchanalian Night of Revelry
The wine was flowing (as well as the Bodgie Beer for those more hops-inclined) to encourage indulgent misbehavior and toga staining.
MC Hells Belle channelled the gorgon medusa and transfixed the audience with her many snakey gazes.
Our sketchers were adorned with vine wreaths and bedazzling jewels. They were affectionately harassed by the mischievous satyr in attendance - Billy Goat Elliot. He spent the night capering about Goodbye Blue Monday, tooting on pan-pipes and spreading merriment.
Lucille managed to escape without getting her leg humped by that rascally Billy. No mean feat!
Headmistress Tawdry Trainwreck shocked us all by keeping most of her body clad this eve. She'll be sure to make up for that at next month's Dr. Sketchy's session where she'll explore the theme of gore.
We are very happy to announce that all of our sponsors survived le shakes and lent their support, as ever, to our night of sordid art practice. Many thanks to the Flying Burrito Brothers, Absolution Tattoo and Body Piercing and Madame Butterfly's Vintage Style Boutique - we adore you! Another big thanks to our wonderful art monkeys for turning up - more in togas on a Thursday night in Christchurch than one would expect - and making this event brilliant.

Love and sketchiness,
The Sketchy Girls of Christchurch

We had so much fun this night! It’s only our fourth session and we’ve had a full house each and every time. Thanks to all our beloved Art Monkeys for their enthusiasm of the sketchy stuff. xxx
