It’s a balmy Thursday night at Davie’s Stage 84, a detail not even remotely helped by the sprawl of some 50-odd warm bodies — local artists, bartenders, scantily clad dancers — all wedged inside the quaint music café for a live sketching class. Sweat trickles down the glittery, cream-powdered cheek of Cupcake Burlesque dancer Jenna Beth as she describes, counting on glossy, white fingernails, the number of times some “pervy old man” has hit on her tonight.

Well, well, well, it looks like Fargo has been tangled up in that world wide web again, but now for the sake of art and burlesque...combined. I finally got all of the webwork done on the Fargo branch page, and I must say I'm pretty proud of it. Though I'm not the most computer savvy person on the block. The first session is going to be in conjunction with my first solo art show, and I am also the first featured model. Mainly because then I don't have to pay myself and then I can spend more on advertising. Plus I do have eight years of figure modeling experience.
The overall theme is "Exploring New Frontiers"... and have what else but a western theme, which seems very appropriate for North Dakota. I would rather embrace my inner cowgirl than raise tribute to the movie "Fargo".. I love the Coen Brothers but I think
We just couldn't be happier to announce a great line-up for September: The lovely and elfin Caitlin Christiana poses as "The Pixie" while Rusty Dewees poses in character as "The Logger." We'll be offering two speciality drinks, Apple Pie Cocktail and Toasted Almond.
We are also going to begin our 1st Annual Short Story Writing Contest. WIth the "Fall Fantasy" models as inspiration, participants will have from Sept. 14 through October 5 to submit a story of 7500 words or less. The stories will be read and judged by Miss Phoebe, Jon Smith, and special guest Tim Matson, who is a local writer and pond guru.
As always, there will be great entertainment and fun door prizes. Please join us on Wednesday Sept. 14 to celebrate Vermont's most magical season.

Our August event will celebrate the upcoming "back to school" season with tiny plaid pleated skirts and knee-high socks (which, let's be honest, is a far more appealing image than the ever-inflating tuition costs and ever-deflating importance of a four year degree).
