Only about a week and a half until American Steampunk. This is going to be a splendiferous workshop with brass goggles and dirigibles as far as the eye can see... Okay, that may be a bit of an overstatement, but we are going to have two wonderful steampunk models! Landship Lieutenant Nathaniel Flint and Lady Kirst Callahan will hold long and "steamy" poses, so make sure there is plenty of lead in your clockwork pencils.
Some years ago, Miss Phoebe found a stellar example of authentic steampunk art. Circa 1900, the item is a postcard depicting how an artist believed Miss Phoebe's beloved hometown of White River Junction would look "in the future."

Wanted: Artistic Debauchery

The thought of a life drawing class makes us yawn: spending our free night in a cold, fluorescent-lit room staring at a stale model surrounded by strangers. It did for artists Molly Crabapple and A.V. Phibes as well, and their alternative solution to the drab drawing-class environment became Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School. The duo got rid of using the same old stick-figure models: A wild array of ladies — burlesque babes, fetish beauties, roller derby girls, and drag queens — are brought in for your drawing pleasure. Everyone is welcome to drink and cheer and socialize (no awkward silences!).

Eva Von Slut has all the curves and all the pinup poses. Bring your colors, her flesh is adorned with beautiful tattoos!

Sometime next year our long time branch mistress Rachel Rouge will be hanging up her stilettos, packing away her tassels and heading off backpacking. But that is a long time in the future. Right now Dr. Sketchy Wellington proudly welcomes a new branch mistress The incredible Miss Venus Starr who will be taking over the Wellington branch 100% from November and had already started working behind the scenes.
