Last Christmas, we celebrated with the Krampus- a wonderful, magical creature who brings Christmas joy and... nah, he just tortures people with whips if they've been bad. Speaking of bad, one of our lovely models, an aspiring journalist looking for a scoop, tried to get photographic proof of Santa- oh no! What followed was a crazy bunch of drawings for our audiences pleasure!
Since we've started we've wanted to do a Sketchy's where one of the models was a monster, and this didn't disappoint! Head over to our event photos page for a look, won't you?

Last night we went back in time to the 50's and spied on the secret drama of a straight-laced couple and their sketchy alter-egos. Our handsome and hilarious models were a real-life husband and wife, and they brought it out with some daring poses! Our eclectic soundtrack included plenty of 50's classics, a surprising and disturbing track from The Shining, and a bunch of bizarre authentic radio ads, including one from Ex-Lax that had the audience busting a gut laughing. Prizes came from our sponsors topatoco.com, Oh My! Sensuality Shop, and our newest comrades, FOE. Plenty of drinking and debauchery was had, and some really excellent sketches came out of the night.

This April first, Dr. Sketchy's Northampton is proud to celebrate that time and place where America was at its greatest: the suburban nightmare that was the 1950s! When values were at their most wholesome (thanks to the swell old American tradition of repression!) and our ideological focus was clear: defeating Communism by buying as many appliances as we possibly could!
So bring your favorite art supplies and a booklight for an evening of drinking, drawing, and debauchery! All skill levels are welcome, as well as those of you who want to simply watch and enjoy the show!
Cover is $10 OR just $7 if you come in 1950's attire, with one new and one returning model, new and exciting prizes from our sponsors,

Last Friday we had a sticky situation on our hands. In the best of ways. Northampton's March session gave the finger to the gross weather outside and seasonal doldrums with an ode to sweets - our two models ended up covered in syrup and whipped cream, dj Studebaker Hawk spun records, and some great sketches came out of it.
We also are grateful for our audience for bringing donations to The Northampton Survival Center, which gives free food and other items to those in need throughout our community. And in addition to our loverly models and dj, we thank as always our venue The Elevens, director Caity Vail, MC Xtian Perfection, Head Art Monkey Kyle Gintzler (and our other art monkeys!), Lesley Arak for taking

Last Friday Dr. Sketchy's Anti Art School Northampton (MA) proved to be another wild affair - hearts broke, revenge was taken, and our crowd did some amazing drawings once again. Our two talented models rung in the Anti-Valentine's Day celebration with some deliciously twisted poses, backed up by a soundtrack of some of the best love/hate music of the past century, and contest winners won fabulous prizes from topatoco.com, babytattoo.com, and oh my! sensuality shop. Thanks to everyone who made it out, and our art monkeys and sponsors for making it happen!

The snowstorm could couldn't keep these local artsies from a good party - Friday, Jan 7th Dr. Sketchy's Northampton threw a PJ party with models, cookies, contests, and live music from Sylphid, and it was a huge success. People showed up in their pajamas, footies, boxers and snuggies to draw our gorgeous models and enjoy the sleepytime electronica. Here are photos from the event, showcasing the talents of our girls (daring poses!) our sexy band, and the amazing artists in attendance. Winners from our tattoo contest and cuddly wilderness animal contest recieved prizes from Baby Tattoo books and topatoco.com. Can't wait for February's event!
