Last week, our nomadic wanderings brought us back where we started, to Williamsburg. Like most of you, we wanted to host a life drawing session in an old abandoned warehouse, but, wouldn't you know it? The warehouse was not as abandoned as we had thought, for this particular warehouse was the home of Kaiju Big Battel, where monsters come to fight, and there were a couple of monsters still around. Fortunately, our model, pole dancer and cult film star Cay Izumi, happened to be Japanese, meaning she was well-practiced in fighting monsters. She protected us, and allowed us to draw her doing so, and thus the session went off without a hitch.

Greetings, Art Monkeys!
What is summer without the beach? Oh, I know, there are tons of people in landlocked corners of the world who have no beach, but they're losers! Here in New York, we have Coney Island, where there you'll find roller coasters and corn dogs and mermaids. Yes, friends, mermaids are real and they are not manatees. Manatees are nice, but they aren't magical, and mermaids are the realest magic I have known in my life. Mermaids are the most beautiful soulless abominations that the sea has to offer. So it was that when Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School came to the beach, we brought along our own mermaid, Kiki Valentine. Special guest photographer Abigail Amalton was there to document.
Cay Izumi + Kaiju Big Battel, peoples! Oh so many dorkenstein fantasies fulfilled...

Shanah tovah, Art Monkeys!
Hey! I know what you all are thinking. "I wonder what's going on at the Brooklyn Museum." Well, I'm glad you asked. They're having an exhibition called "Andy Warhol: The Last Decade" showcasing the last ten years of the man who was the face of TDK in Japan. It is going on until tomorrow, so if you hurry, you can still make it. We were there. We did a very special Andy Warhol Dr. Sketchy's there, even. I know you think that we abandoned Brooklyn when we ran off to Manhattan, but in our hearts, our home is still in Brooklyn, especially those of us who are living in Brooklyn. The point is, we love Brooklyn and we love museums and the Brooklyn Museum combines

Why, Art Monkeys, what big eyes you have!
Back at Parkside Lounge, we had another Dr. Sketchy's session, this time with Delysia La Chatte posing as the Big Bad Wolf, though she's not that big, and she's certainly not bad.

Here we see the famous scene where the wolf, disguised as the grandmother entices Little Red Riding Hood by showing a little leg. Unfortunately Red starts to see through the ruse. She says, "Grandma, what sexy gams you have!"
