Branch Blog - New York, NY
We had a glorious time at the Brooklyn Museum today! We were in the Rubins Pavilion, a gorgeous, sun-drenched area along with a large group of Dr. Sketchy's fans new and old and models Dame Cuchifrita and Delysia La Chatte. Thank you SO much, Brooklyn Museum, for having Dr. Sketchy's be a part of your Andy Warhol exhibition! A full write-up with more photos to come. image

Caught in Fishnet by Fiona Wilson With all the lovely models and debauchery drinking games at Dr. Sketchy's, people sometimes forget all the gorgeous art that's produced. Well, no longer. At the Dr. Sketchy's Group Art Blog, you can see an archive of art created at Dr. Sketchy's around the globe. Admire, reblog, and, if you feel so moved, submit your own. art by Nori Tominaga

So it was that we arrived in our latest station in exile, the Parkside Lounge. For our inaugural session, it only seemed right that we pay tribute to Trotsky’s time in exile, for it was during this period that Mikhail Bulgakov wrote his famous book, The Master and Margarita. Our session featured Zoetica Ebb and her husband Alez Kot respectively as the titular Margarita and the titular Master, with Nik Sin joining them as Voland’s lovable kitty-cat Behemoth.

However, before that happened, we had one last session in us. What a session it was! We had the fabulous Dante Posh posing in a tribute to the beauty parlors of the 1960’s, the glory days when they didn’t fuck around with hair.

Don’t make a move or she’ll blow dry the shit out of you!

Hello, Art Monkeys!

I know that all of you were very sad this June since there were no Dr. Sketchy’s sessions (what with our home venue, the Slipper Room being closed for renovations and our not having yet moved into our new venue, the Parkside Lounge, at 317 Houston St., between Avenues B and C, which we will do tomorrow, July 10th), but Dr. Sketchy’s still holds special events from time to time, and in June we held one of our most special ever. It was The Art Monkeys’ Ball! A huge party in a huge venue! Lots of everything! Check it out!
