So I've been slacking on keeping the website updated.  My household was in an uproar over the holidays, we've had renovations going on, and I just haven't felt like myself lately.  But here we are.

The last session, held in December, was "A Very Sketchy Christmas."  We featured Yule C. LeBeouf as Santa and Diva J as Mrs. Claus.  It was a great show and we had some really good music by Steven Neas and Alex Perry from the band Turnaround Sundown. The band will be releasing a new CD soon, and I hope they'll join us again.

The upcoming session (which is tonight, actually) is "Biker Babes" sponsored by Granite State Harley Davidson.  We have two beautiful models, Yarrow and Jennifer, and their bikes.  These lovely ladies will be holding a

Miss Phoebe has finally loaded the pictures from our sixth session, "Fall Fantasy:  The Logger vs. The Pixie", available here:  http://www.drsketchy.com/branch/photo_gallery/whiteriverjunction.  As always, our photographer, Jon Smith, did a fantastic job capturing the session.  We're now gearing up for the October 26th session, "Zombie Attack!  Now with More Zombies!"   Instead of our standard two models, we're going to have four zombie models for our artists to draw.  It's going to be a great time with plenty of surprises, cheap drinks, door prizes, and live entertainment.  For more details, please visit us at Read Full Article

Team Sketchyjunction is already getting geared up for our October 26th session, Zombie Attack!  (Now with More Zombies!)  A friend of the team, Dan Jensen of Jensen PhotoArts made us an absolutely fantastic poster for the event, and we're currently in the costume-designing stage.  Instead of our usual two models, we really wanted to have a zombie hoard (hence the "more zombies" tagline) so we've hired four great models for our cadre of artists to draw.  Additionally, we have the lovely and extremely talented toni atari booked as our entertainment for the night.  You won't want to miss this death life-drawing

We just couldn't be happier to announce a great line-up for September: The lovely and elfin Caitlin Christiana poses as "The Pixie" while Rusty Dewees poses in character as "The Logger." We'll be offering two speciality drinks, Apple Pie Cocktail and Toasted Almond. We are also going to begin our 1st Annual Short Story Writing Contest. WIth the "Fall Fantasy" models as inspiration, participants will have from Sept. 14 through October 5 to submit a story of 7500 words or less. The stories will be read and judged by Miss Phoebe, Jon Smith, and special guest Tim Matson, who is a local writer and pond guru. As always, there will be great entertainment and fun door prizes. Please join us on Wednesday Sept. 14 to celebrate Vermont's most magical season. Please don't forget to prebuy your admission to see/hear/draw

A couple of weeks ago we had our "American Steampunk" session. The models were Landship Lt. Nathaniel Flint (aka Nate Powell) and Lady Kirst Callahan. They were both absolutely wonderful and I saw a lot of great artwork come out of that session. Our photographer, Jon Smith, did an excellent job in capturing the models poise and personalities. Our entertainment for the evening was Michael Kennedy, who played an authentic industrial revolution-era concertina and a singing saw (which was absolutely amazing!) He also told some really cool old-time stories. If anybody every needs this type of performer, please let us know and we will happily send you his contact information! Pictures can be found on our photo page, broken into two groups: Models/performers and Artists/spectators. Our next session, which is scheduled
