Long-time fans of Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School may wonder whatever became of Steve Walker - the dashing bemohawked young man who for years helped run our sessions. Well, he moved out west to set his prodigious illustrative talents to comic book projects. The latest of these projects is called "The Battle of Blood and Ink". It is part of the Fables of the Flying City series and it was just released recently and if you haven't already purchased it, you really should.
If you are already a fan and would like to meet the creators, you are in luck, because Jared Axelrod and Steve Walker are going to be in New York City's Forbidden Planet comic book shop (840 Broadway, New York, NY) on Friday, June 8 at 6:30 for
You remember 2 years ago, when the Dr. Sketchy's documentary was released? It then did its rounds at film festivals that you were too lazy to attend. Fortunately, now you need go no further than your own computer to see the Dr. Sketchy's crew from four years ago and a short sampling of our zany misadventures. I give you Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School on vimeo!

Hello, Art Monkeys.
It has come to my attention that you kids these days with your TV and your video games and your talkies and your podcasts simply aren't reading enough. We here at Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School are doing our part to encourage literacy by hiring model Raquel Reed. Kate Black took photographs.

Although it is not made of real leopard skin, PETA disapproves of Raquel's dress because it is essentially the leopard equivalent

Greetings, Art Monkeys!
How was your Easter? I hope you had fun and got to spend time with your family. Of course, we here at Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School hate our families and will make any excuse not to spend time with them. So it was that we spent our Easter hosting a session with model Kat Mon Dieu. It was a properly respectful and religious session - the model's last name even means God! There's no way we're going to hell for this. Kate Black photographed.

Greetings, Art Monkeys!
We all know that when the traffic light is green you go. Customarily, it will then turn yellow, prompting you to slam on the accelerator, and if you don't make it in time, it will then turn red, signaling you to stop. What do you do, though, if the light turns green twice? Why, you Go-Go, of course! And all of you who are tired of the stop-stopping in your life are in luck, because at Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School, we have Go-Go Amy posing! Kate Black photographed.

Hello, art monkeys!
Here at Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School, we encourage artists to experiment with all sorts of media. We have had paints, inks, charcoal, crayons, iPads, and yet one medium remained conspicuously absent. Where were the sculptors? Where were the dedicated artisans bringing their big chunks of granite to carve into life-size representations of the model? This had plagued us for years, until we finally took it upon ourselves to do the hard work for you and to provide our own statue in the form of model Dante Posh. Kate Black took photographs.
