They came, they sang, they read, they puppeteered, they joked, they pimped their show, they posed, they philosophised, they sat amazingly still, they sold badges and zines and they rocked our socks off. MINGE theatre troupe TOOK OVER Dr. Sketchy Wellington in November and they did a FANTASTIC job!

This week Wellington based The Fashion Workshop put together a fabulous exhibition of pimped-up bras to fundraise for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation. Here is our entry:
Oodles of prizes were raffled, - we won a $10 voucher for Arobake, yum! - the standard and diversity of entries was amazing and the evening was a great success. Here is a photo from Dr. Sketchy Wellington HQ the night before:

On Saturday the 13th of November Dr. Sketchy Wellington will be joined by the fabulous girls from MINGE, a feminist theatre troupe who will be putting on a play at Bats theatre later in the month. Wow! Huge thank you Venus Star, blonde hula hooping bombshell and the utterly lovely Tinka Lovelocks. Both of you are amazing... and those SHOES - oh my. We had a great time as the warm spring sun filtered into Mighty Mighty. The fabulous Illustrator Used Bandaid won both our Calico Jacks best dressed award as well as the best imagined background prize, you are sure to enjoy your lovely neck and shoulder massage.
