At our last session, we had one of our Art Star tributes to Molly's ultrafamous artist friends. For those of you who have not had the pleasure of seeing Travis Louie's work yourself, he paints black-and-white portraits of unusual, bizarre, and sometimes even monstrous people, like this:

Once again, we here at Dr. Sketchy's present a tribute to French theatre, because things from France are inherently better than things from other places. This especially holds true for excessively violent puppets. That's why we recently did a salute to Le Théâtre du Grand-Guignol. For those of you who are under 70 and may not have had the chance to frequent the Grand Guignol, this was where shocking and melodramatic horror was performed. Its name comes from Guignol, a French puppet show based on the Italian commedia dell'arte, which… you know what? It takes too long to explain. We had puppets and knives and breasts. Deal with it.

Recently, we had a very special session at the Roger Smith Hotel for the Social Media Art Camp (or SMArt Camp - you see, it's almost an acronym, except that the last letter is the whole word, but look! It spells "smart"!) Raquel Reed was the model and it was fancy and colourful and awesome and photographer Chloe Rice caught it all on film.

Recently, the Olympic Games were held in our own continent, somewhere in the frozen northlands, and we held a session of Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School to celebrate. Now, you may not know this, but despite our finely toned, perfectly proportioned and developed physiques, most of us behind Dr. Sketchy are not particularly sports fans or even entirely aware of what sports are or when and how they are played. However, we are huge fans of people in scant clothing bending in ways that God never intended. That is why we are really into Olympic gymnastics. Also yoga. And medieval torture devices.
So it was that we had contortionist Ekat bending away for us in our Olympic tribute.
